Hello!

My name's Cypress, I'm a 26 year old nonbinary trans guy originally from California, living in Washington, US.

I'm someone who grew up online in the early 2000's on DeviantArt and subsequently caught the furry virus as a result. Tragic, I know. I've had a love for all things furry, fantastical and weird since then, calling the fandom my home. My fursona is a fluffy yellow kobold by the name of Sunny, who you can see littered all over this site. Originally having started as a DnD character, he's evolved into so much more.

I'm autistic and, as you might've guessed, all shades of queer. I'm transgender and nonbinary, identifying primarily as a demiboy. I'm also gay, though the niche term I like to use is toric. I'm also asexual, specifically aegosexual. If you're curious about what all of these terms mean, I've included links here for further reading. Speaking of homosexuality, I'm also married to an absolutely amazing guy, who for his privacy I'll refer to under the handle "Wilder", as he's chosen for his fursona's name. Though, he is not a furry at all he certainly humors me and my antics.

Outside of the digital space, I'm a healthcare student with an interest in endocrinology and chronic disease, such as Diabetes and Hashimoto's. I also have a bachelor's degree in philosophy, with an interest in epistemology, ethics and theology. I'm currently training to be a medical assistant, though I have hopes to someday train as a physician associate if I can conjure enough brain cells for such an endeavor.

I'm also a practicing Buddhist. I don't belong to any one particular school, though I find myself drawn to Mahayana teachings, specifically that of Plum Village and the wisdom of the late Thich Naht Hahn.

I love language learning and I have a dream of one day becoming fluent in Japanese, Spanish, Russian and German. My Japanese is probably my second strongest language at this point, though. 僕の日本語がへたですから、僕にやさしいお願いします.

I also love gaming! Some of my favorite all-time entries are Deltarune/Undertale, Rimworld, The Witcher, Cult of the Lamb, the Souls series (truly, anything from Fromsoftware), Pokemon, Minecraft, Amnesia, Who's Lila?, Off and Baldur's Gate. Shockingly, I also love Dungeons & Dragons and have a bit of DM experience (though I can't say I'm particularly good at it).

I also have a cat, by the name of Toast. He came to us from our local shelter, where he was surrendered just the previous week from a home after his owner couldn't tolerate his ongoing urinary medical problems and conflicts with his littermate. He's a huge handful, but we love him to death none the less. He's apparently a siamese flame-point, though we haven't done any genetics testing to see whether that's true in the sense that he has any pedigree. Though based on what we know about his background it's possible that he may be. He loves playing with fishing-pole toys, naps in the sun, tuna flakes and cuddling.
